2008 FUN HAT LUNCHEON
On July 9th, Island Connections hosted their 4th “Fun Hat Luncheon”   at the Deck House in Southwest Harbor. Over 98 seniors and disabled attended this fun event. The MDI YMCA bus made the trip so much easier for neighbors’ from Bar Harbor.

Many thanks to Rob Marshall and the Deck House performers for stepping out in grand style to entertain our neighbors as they enjoyed a delicious luncheon. “Speakeasy” was the musical theme and it certainly took many of our neighbors back in time to their favorite music.

Hats! Hats! and more Hats! What a challenge selecting a winner. The grand prizes went to Jerri Small with her giant colonial lace hat adorned with large flowers and Lee Estey with his 2008 Summer Olympics hat. Good food, great laughs and fun was had by all.
