SAVE THE DATE for the
4th Annual
Sugar Showdown

Island Connections’ 4th Annual Sugar Showdown is happening on Saturday, February 6th from 4–6 p.m. at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel. Bakers of all skill levels will compete across three delicious categories; Sweet Surprise, Showstopper and the 2027 Category chosen by the community.

General admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door, and includes dessert samples from all categories, tokens to vote for your favorites, live music, and access to the Showstopper raffle.

The Sweetest Competition on MDI

Join us for our fourth annual Sugar Showdown! All proceeds from this event support Island Connections' mission to provide free rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping for our older adult and disabled neighbors on MDI and surrounding islands. Your participation keeps neighbors independent, healthy, and connected to community.

Sample desserts to your heart's content, speak with competing bakers about their fabulous creations, and then vote for your favorites in this fun and sugary competition.

Sugar Showdown is MDI's sweetest competition as both amateur and professional bakers from the greater Downeast area bring out their BEST in one of three categories.

Music provided by Washboard Rebellion, complimentary hors d' ouvres provided by Atlantic Oceanside, and a cash bar available for drink purchases. Kids Corner with activites for our supervised guests under age 10.
